Dear Readers,
Would you like to help out Hello!Fansubs?
Well here is your chance!
We are currently seeking the following positions: Translators: You are the core of any given project, and you have two methods of how you want to work. 1. Translate to a Text File from the video (Providing dialog, on-screen){You'd note them} 2. Translate to a Timed File (A blank timing sheet will be given)
Karaoke Typesetters: You bring LIFE into the PV's/Perf's (If you are interested, best to submit a video to show)
For Timers... I'm still thinking about it as we've had many flakers in that area..
But for anyone that is interested in Translating or Typesetting for us, let us know.

@soranaka / HikariGenos: Hmmm I guess a way to test that would to just give you a PB Making of to work on, I'll post back when I have the links and stuff set up.
I'm hoping that you two know how to use Aegisub, as it will make things so much easier due to the timings already being done.
EIDT: Files posted and you two should have access to them.
Post Merge: April 01, 2010, 04:20:55 PM @Hyung: At first thought you were going at Editor/QC only, but then near the end you mention Timing/Typesetting... Timers we're good on, but for Typesetting, would this be in regard to just general font/color choice? Or actually Karaoke Typesetting (Use of Effects?)
Post Merge: April 01, 2010, 04:20:58 PM @Hyung: No, no worries on the Editor/QC part... and I thought i twas basic TS'ing, which is my level as well... At the moment we wouldn't need you, as you mentioned you are sorta still learning basic karaoking... and we don't have any Karaoke TS'ers that are active at the moment that might be able to teach you =/

@AfuroShogun: Thanks for your interest, and I honestly don't want to dl that 1.27GB file, but grabbed the .ass to just check. And I don't know how accurate the translations are. But I did notice some grammatical problems, which can be easily fixed.
If anything, for now I can have you as a 'trainee' and just see how well you perform. And definitely you can work as a timer as well.
I'll promote you now and then discuss other matters with you.

Will do, shall keep that in mind, for now replies should be made int he other forum that you can now view as a Trainee =)
Post Merge: May 28, 2010, 09:42:43 AM @Hageshi: Hmm yes we are, and as for 'how many', we don't place a limit, it's more or less just whatever you're interested in/ your own time to complete a project. As after completion, it goes through QC which can last a long time due to things that may or may not work.
But definitely if you're interested, if you have any works to show, you can PM me that.
Post Merge: May 28, 2010, 09:42:48 AM Hmm Rapidshare... hopefully that won't be for future things =P, not too fond of that, Mediafire/SendSpace are the preferable ones.
But will wait for that, no need to send the .ass
Post Merge: May 28, 2010, 09:42:52 AM I'll be out, just PM me when ready ^^

*posted on the blog too* I have no idea what either of those options mean, but I will help if you guys choose not to disband. :3 Although you should know, I am a very active person and may have periods in which I am extremely busy, and in order to best prevent that, I will only be able to accept a limited number of translation requests in a month, but I do do my best and I am willing to collaborate with other translators to aid in completing projects faster.

Hey SuishouYuki: Well, given we aren't SS, I suppose you'll be more like C'est la Vie, specializing in Lyric Translations... UNLESS you are able to do translations outside of lyrics such as shows.
If you are able to do shows, then the quote you took applies.
But mainly the one we follow is where you select a Project you'd want to work on, and I'd time everything for you (Dialog/On-screens). (As I'm not great with the other option, where you would just type out the translations line by line, which I would have some difficulty timing)
Anyhow, if you're able to do things like shows, that'd be freaking awesome, as lyric translations are good and all, but they pile upon Tomo-chan who is our only Karaoke TS'er thus far, sakuranodaimon is on occasion. So there isn't much of a high demand for Lyric Translators at the moment, maybe if we got more Karaoke TS'ers then it is.
As for now, mainly just Translators that can do shows would help us greatly as I mentioned in the first Frontpage Post about having many projects all ready and only missing translations.
Your call =P

I see. That first option does seem easier. XD; Well...as of right now, while I can translate a little by ear I'm not a professional yet... ^^; I am studying hard to learn, though, and expect to be fully fluent in the Japanese language by this December. I am sorry I can't help with the Karaoke Typesetting...I have absolutely no experience with that. XD;

Yeah, Karaoke TS'ing is definitely a talent, harder than Translating (Assuming that one is proficient at it)
So for now, hmmm we'll have ya pending as I'm not too sure if we need more Lyric Translators, although I'm fine if C'est la Vie asks you for help, then we can credit you as well.
